Getting Personal When Promoting

Currently, there are more than 600 million blogs out of the 1.7 billion websites on the internet. And, with affiliate marketing being an ever-growing and successful industry, more and more blogs are popping up. This is why it’s crucial to find a way to set yourself apart from others. While many businesses are promoting the same thing, it might seem difficult to set yourself apart, but there is a way - finding your voice.

Your readers come to you because they relate, like what you offer, appreciate your personality, etc. This is the same for potential readers. While they might find the same information somewhere else, if they like you and what you do, they will be back.

How to Get Personal

  • Build Trust. Always offer your honest opinion on what you’re promoting, whether it is from hands-on experience or not. Your audience is looking to you for guidance.

  • Write as You. Put your personality into your writing and readers won’t feel like they’re being “sold to”.

  • Make it Your Own. When using our ready-to-post articles; switch up the narrative if you have your own experience with the topic, and always edit it to fit your style of writing.

  • Solve a Problem. Think of things that your audience might need help with within your niche and write about your own experiences with these issues while offering a solution.
